Randy Martinez, MS, CPA, CFP®
Randy Martinez, MS, CPA, CFP®, began his career in financial services within the Personal Financial Planning practice of KPMG, LLP in 1999. For almost 20 years, he has advised clients on investments, 401(k)s, and establishing and maintaining sound retirement plans. His education and experience affords him the ability to adopt strategies with clients that minimize income and estate taxes to increase the effectiveness of the planning process. Business owners and retirement plan fiduciaries seek Randy’s expertise to coordinate the many aspects of the retirement plan amongst the business and business owner’s goals. Whether they call upon him as a 3(21) plan fiduciary, or to seek assistance with funding and allocating investments for retirement, reducing corrective distributions or designing a tax minimization strategy, his clients appreciate his ability to see the “moving pieces” together while driving everyone towards the defined goal.
Randy has traveled extensively through the United States training other financial advisors on new, innovative estate, retirement, and tax planning strategies. For these training sessions, he worked on the creative teams that developed the course curricula and serves as a co-author on several of the textbooks. He was also an adjunct professor in the continuing education departments of Georgetown University, Duke University and Emory University. Over 2000 financial advisors have attended Randy’s classes.
During 2008, Randy was invited and selected to be one of 25 CPAs within the state of Georgia to complete the Georgia Society of CPAs Leadership Academy – a program to provide participants with leadership skills and expertise that they will use in their firms and their communities.
Randy is the Treasurer of the Oakdale Alliance, Inc., has held many board positions within the Vining’s Rotary and has volunteered with the Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Atlanta, CHRIS kids, and The Atlanta Community Food Bank. He resides in Smyrna, GA with his wife, Angelique, who is a nurse at Piedmont Hospital, and three children, Adelaide, Laurel and Henry.

Marcela Michel, CFP®
Marcela Michel, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning from The University of Georgia. She attained the CFP® designation after successfully passing the rigorous exam and meeting the required years of experience.
Marcela joined Asset Advisors Group, LLC in 2013, and assists with fund analysis, prepares information for investment committee meetings, and tracks compliance requirements for all plans. Prior to joining Asset Advisors Group, LLC team, Marcela worked with Homrich Berg.
When Marcela is not working, she enjoys kickball, going to the gym, and anything outdoors.
Patti Truelove, CPA
Patti Truelove, CPA has 30 years of experience as a licensed CPA. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration as a Magna Cum Laude graduate from North Georgia College. She has worked in public accounting firms and as a controller within small and large businesses. Patti prepared retirement and tax projections. She possesses a vast knowledge of tax minimization strategies, and prepares all types of individual and business tax returns.
Patti and her husband enjoy weekends in the north GA Mountains with their son. She is the pianist for the Bethel United Methodist Church and participates in many of the activities of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
